Our
Facility and Staff
The Vancouver All Stars Cheerleading Program was originally created for athletes
wanting the experience of cheering at an elite level. Throughout the years,
VAS has grown and evolved to offer a three-tier program that allows every
cheerleader aged 4 and up to participate at their particular ability and commitment
level. The program is now seven years old and although the club has changed
and grown, many of our original athletes are still cheering with us today.
The purpose of our program is to provide a safe, challenging, and most of
all, fun cheerleading experience for motivated athletes. Throughout the season,
team members will learn how to dedicate themselves as an individual and as
part of a team. They will learn to set and reach goals with the help of their
teammates and help their teammates reach their goals, in return. The Vancouver
All Stars pride themselves on being the most talented and competitive All
Star program in the
Province.
Our
Mission Statement:
Vancouver All Stars is committed to excellence. We strive to teach our cheer athletes valuable life skills through cheer. We aim to build self-confidence, character and a good work ethic. We value effort, diligence, teamwork and good sportsmanship. VAS is a community of positive leaders fueled by passion, pride and spirit.
Our
Gym:
G Force Gym is the FIRST CHEER GYM in Western Canada. We offer an 8340 sq
ft training facility that allows us flexibility and variety in our schedule.
Furthermore, we are the FIRST stand alone cheer gym in Canada boasting TWO
Full-sized mats. Our gym has a 54' x 42' Sprung Floor All Star Cheerleading
Mat in addition to a 42' x 42' High School Dimensions Mat. We have invested
in top-of-the-line equipment to train our cheer athletes for tumbling and
cheerleading and to ensure that our athletes are taught progressively and
safely. Our state of the art facility compliments our ongoing responsibility
to our athletes and families: If you're going to do it, do it right!

Our
Staff:
The success of Vancouver All Stars is largely due to our incredibly talented,
personable and knowledgeable staff. VAS hires the VERY best cheerleaders from
the TOP programs in British Columbia. They come and work with VAS for our
reputation and positive work environment. In fact, VAS boasts an almost 100%
yearly retention rate. Our staff is recognized in Canada for their abilities
both as coaches and athletes. Ten of the VAS staff were members of the 2006
Worlds Team. The director of VAS is committed to providing continual professional
development and opportunities for the staff; this past year 90% of VAS staff
participated in the two-day 2006 Worlds Coaches Conference in Orlando and
were all credentialed to the highest level, scoring 100% on their exams.
The VAS Staff feel that the athletes and the gym are both family and home, respectively. We are all committed to inspiring young men and women to reach their potential.
